Carpenters Lane, Stratford.
Carpenters Lane is a short walk from the main Stratford Railway station. On the corner are an hotel and the Carpenters Arms is a short distance along the Lane.
It is a thoroughfare of second hand car dealerships, scrap yards and tyre repair centres.
Here is a section of the Olympics Zone Walk map download from Newham - you can download it in its entirety. Carpenters Lane runs through the area labelled Aquatics Centre, and I would guess will be a major access road.

You cannot miss the views, though, from six years before the Olympics.

This is looking away from the Stratford High Street, the Olympic zone will be over on the left. That is the Carpenter Arms, the low building; and a railway bridge is ahead of us. All the Pubs in London & Essex, of which the Carpenters Arms is both are at my companion Pubs sites. These list about 6500 Pubs in total, in case you are interested in genealogy and Pubs.

Perhaps Carpenter lane will not be a major access road to the Olympics, or will they lose this rail bridge? Or maybe a tunnel?
